IS ‘MRS’ JUST MR’S

LIKE BELONGING TO MR

OMG

Mr comes from the French monsieur, which I think literally translates as ‘my lord’ and basically just means master, and Mrs comes from maistre which is the feminine form of master, so actually—for once—no.

Every single actor needs this. It’s also so important to note where a character realizes these things— if they’ve always known them, if they are revealed during the course of the performance, etc. Printing this and putting it on my wall.
